ResinTech Announces Global Price Increase

Camden, NJ — ResinTech, Inc. today announced a global price increase due to a continued and prolonged escalation in costs for raw materials, energy, transportation, and labor.

The following price increases will be imposed on all bulk media products shipping on or after January 1, 2022 as contracts allow:

Product Category

Price Increase*

Ion Exchange Resin  (standard and specialty)

5% 15%

Activated Carbon

10% — 25%

*NOTE: Increased pricing will be in effect for any order shipping on or after January 1, 2022.

This increase is attributable to the rising cost and availability of a broad spectrum of materials and services resulting from the global pandemic. The cost of essential chemicals like styrene, DVB, and others have been significantly impacted by the rising cost of petrochemicals. Increased fuel prices and the well-documented shortage of ocean freight containers continue to impact international and domestic freight costs. Lumber, paper, and steel prices have all hit record highs which has escalated packaging costs.

The Logistics Fee* based on the FBX Freight Index’s FBX03 metric (https://bit.ly/32NBZX6) remains in effect. [*Logistics Fee applies to domestic customers only.]
